Whats going on this up coming week?

Here is my Patrick Tribute:
P - Patient
A - Amazing
T - Terrific
R - Reliable
I - Inspiring
C - Caring
K-  Kissable!
I'm so proud of Patrick he does so much for this family.  Some how he got it in his mind that he was the lucky one. I know that I am truly the lucky one! I can honestly say that when he is gone I miss him. Even if it is when he is gone for work. He lights up my world, and my children's world too! Any one should be so lucky to find a loving and caring person to share their life with. Ellie runs to Patrick as soon as he opens the door. She is a Daddy's Girl for sure. Her first words were Dada. Enough said. Patrick is such an amazing influence in the lives of our children his hard work and kindness is a wonderful example to live by. I would do anything for this man!

Today is Friday, Patrick's big party is Sunday. We are doing a Bowling Alley theme. All the food will be Bowling Alley food. Nachos, Hot Dogs and Popcorn! We are going to have a Wii Bowling Competition! The winner gets a special prize! It is going to be so much fun. After all turning 30.

The next big thing to happen to this family is Eleanor is turning 1!!! So hard to believe a year has come. Her birthday is on the 30th we will be celebrating on the 31st. She is the biggest joy in my life! She already loves jewelry and shoes. Any time we there is a watch or a bracelet laying around she will pick it up and put it around her arm and just walk around like she knows exactly where it is supposed to go. (how does she know this). She loves her big brother with all her heart. Anything Liam has she wants to. She loves being around him and dancing with him. But she does NOT like to wrestle with him! She is very vocal about that. :) Liam loves Ellie as well. If she starts crying in the crib he will run to her and tell her: "Princess of Princesses its okay!" I very much look forward to see how they get a long as they get older.

Then we have 25 days left til we leave to Disneyland! Liam is so excited. He asks almost every day if we are going to Disneyland that day! He is so smart and remembers everything! We are very excited for Cars World. I think Liam is going to die when we walk in! Liam has been collecting money so he can spend it in Disney!

Eleanor Stephanie Ann Johnson

August 29th- I call the hospital to see what time I am to report to the hospital. They tell me that I have a scheduled C-Section for 7:30 am and to report to the hospital at 5:30 am. That night we sent Liam up to Grandma Glo's. We finish packing and go to bed around 10:30.

August 30th- To be honest I don't think I slept at all. I defiantly woke up at 3:30 ready to go. I got up and straightened my hair and packed all the last minute things. We left the house at 5:00 and got to the hospital around 5:15. They got us into the room and talked with us about what to expect and how the schedule is going to go. At 7 I got into the operating room and received the epidural. Which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It did hurt, but the lady that did my IV had that needle digging in and it hurt worse. They got me numbed up and with Patrick by my side they delivered our Eleanor into the world at 7:46. She weighed 8lbs 2 oz and is 20 inches long. Right after the delivery Eleanor and Patrick went out of the room. They did an examination and found that she was having trouble keeping her oxygen up, her heart had a murmur and her glucose blood levels were down. They fed her immediately and took her up to the NICU. Between the time traveling to the NICU her oxygen levels stabilized and her heart murmur had disappeared. They said that it wasn't uncommon for some infants to have heart murmurs right after birth. They monitored her in the NICU for about and hour. I got to go and see her in the NICU. Then they took Eleanor down to the Mother Baby Floor and gave her her first bath.
We had a lot of family come and visit us. Liam, who is staying with Grandma Glo, came and got to see is new little sister. We got some pictures of them together. We would ask him where his baby sister is and he would point right to her. He knows she is out :)

We are so very blessed to have another life added to our family. She is adorable and very content. Her little gas smiles are just adorable and I love kissing her. Patrick has been so wonderful while here. I have been in quite a bit of pain (understandably) and he has done so much to help me. He is a wonderful husband.

Her name: We had her name whittled down to two names. Eleanor just felt right. I knew from the moment that I heard that name that it was meant for her. She is blessed with two middle names. Stephanie is after her Aunt Stephanie. Aunt Stephanie is such a charismatic, caring, sincere (and might I add well educated :D) person and hope that Eleanor will grow to have these wonderful attributes. Ann is actually after both of our mothers. My mother's name is Ruth Ann and Patrick's mother's name is Gloria Ann. What a perfect way to be able to honor both of our wonderful mothers.

We are going to be returning home on Friday and I look forward to starting the rest of our lives together as a family of 4!

What I Have Learned...

What I have learned during this pregnancy.
  1. I have to most amazing supporting husband in the world!
  2. I have a wonderful supporting family, near and far.
  3. I am extremely blessed.
  4. Little girls are easier to shop for than boys.
  5. Crocheting.
  6. Monk is a good show.
  7. I miss Liam when he isn't around.
  8. Eleanor is a mover! (I'm thinking a gymnast)
  9. I have some wonderful friends!
  10. Every pregnancy is very different.
  11. Don't put off things you can do now, because you might not be able to do them later. Example: I am a horrible cleaner... but now that I can't it sucks because I have to watch Patrick drown himself in house work because I didn't do it when I could.
  12. Bleeding and not knowing why sucks!
  13. Having a root canal while being pregnant is not good. Especially since you can't take anti-inflammatories.
  14. Did I mention that I have the most amazing husband in the world.
  15. Colleen is an amazing quilter!
  16. My brother Danny is awesome, and is such a big help!
  17. Still love Diet Pepsi... (thanks for the acquired addiction Mom)
  18. Craving doughnuts.... I hate doughnuts!
  19. Help may be hard to ask for, but worth it when you do.
  20. I love my family and can't wait for our newest addition.
Its stands at 3 more days! I am scheduled for a C-Section on the 30th. I just hope I can make it those 3 days. I have been in quite a bit of pain. I can't really walk anymore. Patrick pushed me around in a wheelchair today because I needed to pick out yarn for some projects in the hospital. What I am hoping to do in the hospital is a hat for Patrick, Liam and Eleanor. Patrick asked for a plain black beanie. I'm going to make Liam an Aviator hat. and Eleanor gets a Pom Pom hat. Oh I'm also wanting to make a cocoon its a photography prop for infants.

I have been having a lot of fun learning to crochet. Colleen came over and helped me a couple weeks ago. I have made most of a frog. Some hats, a diaper cover and some headbands. I'm super excited to have her here and in my arms. I know that our whole family is quite excited to have her here as well. Liam knows something is happening but I don't think he quite knows what. He knows her name where she currently resides. But other than that I think its going to be interesting to see how he reacts to her.

Swimming! And an update.

We went to the pool today! Well we go almost everyday but I finally took the camera! :D Liam is a real fish! He loves to swim! Here he is with his best friend Ethan!

Liam is talking pretty well now. He tries scentences most of the time he fills in the words he doesn't know with blabber ( and its so cute ) He is obsessed with trains! We got him a train set for his birthday and he has to sleep with with Blue Cho and his Red Choo Choo. The Blue Cho is Thomas, one that we got him when we went up to Heber one day. The Red one came with the set. He loves to run around the table and play. Liam also know's most of the basic colors (ie. red, blue, yellow, green and brown) and alphabet. I just started working on numbers. He know's 2 and 3 mostly because we count when he is being naughty. :D He loves his Great Pappa. He asks for him quite a bit. Great Pappa is Grandpa Smith. He loves to go on bike rides and go in Pappa Blue Car, but not when its hot inside the car. And Great Grandma and Grandpa don't mind watching him. Liam is such a joy to have around he is usually in a good mood (hey he is 2 after all) and loves learning new words.

I had a doctors appointment today. I am still slightly anemic, but its not enough to put me on iron supplements. (wheww... I hate taking pills. I barely remember to take my pre-natal). At my previous appointment I had an ultrasound. I would up load and image but I can't make anything out in those dang things, so there is no point. The clocked my amniotic fluid at 11 (not sure on the measurement unit). They said that that was on the low end of the mid-range. (if that makes any sense). My birth with Liam was pretty traumatic because my previous doctor didn't watch my fluid and they let me get down to 1.75 (again not sure on the measurement unit). Normally they would admit some one if they got to a 7. So, I was quite adamant about having them watch the fluid level this time. So starting in two weeks I will get ultra sounds every week, until she is born. Just so they can watch it and make sure it doesn't get to low again. So maybe one week I will get a good ultra sound where you can actually see something. Although the tech that I had said that she could see her chubby cheeks and her hair. I thought that was pretty cool! So she already has hair :D

Happy Birthday Liam!

Liam is now 2! I know its hard to believe but he is. He is such a joy and a blessing to have in our lives. Some times it feels as though I have known him my whole life!

From the first moment I saw him I knew my life would be different. But I never expected to enjoy being a mother so much!
